Report jellyfish

At the beach and seeing jellyfish — or none at all? Tell us: reports appear on the map right away and feed the forecast, and the beach’s Telegram followers get an alert. No sign-up.

How reports feed the forecast

  • "Jellyfish seen" raises the risk at that beach and, less, at nearby beaches; the effect fades over a few days.
  • Fresh sightings of bluebottles and other jellyfish are carried forward with currents and wind, so beaches they may reach get a warning.
  • "No jellyfish" lowers the estimate slightly and helps us measure forecast accuracy.
  • Reports with a sting or a photo, and several independent reports for one beach, are sent to Telegram followers.
